AHA drawn cup needle roller bearings with open ends and with closed end are bearings of very small radial section height with their outer rings and cages made by metal forming methods.
They allow particularly economical rolling bearing arrangements with high load carrying capacity. The thin-walled bearings cups must be rigidly supported to exploit fully the load carrying capacity.
The bearings are mounted with a press require no further axial location. The needle roller and cage assembly ensure efficient performance even at high speeds. Large grease reservoirs in the cage assembly guarantee longer relubrication intervals.
If the bearings do not run directly on a hardened shaft, then they can be combined with inner rings of series LR or IR. In most applications, the lower priced inner rings of series LR can be chosen in preference.
Single row drawn cup needle roller bearings are supplied without a lubrication hole, but double row bearings are supplied with a lubrication hole as standard.

These bearings consist of thin-walled drawn cups, cages and needle rollers which together form an integral unit. In contrast to the drawn cup needle roller bearings with open ends on both sides used at shaft ends and to support low axial guidance forces.

Drawn cup needle roller bearings should be pressed into the housing bore with the aid of a fitting mandrel, the shoulder of which should preferably rest against the side face which has the bearing designation marked on it.
O-ring is situated in a groove on the mandrel and serves to hold the bearing after it has been pushed onto the mandrel. It also simplifies the mounting of bearings on production lines which should be carried out with a press if possible. The bearings may not be tilted during mounting.
