AHA stud type track rollers are ready- to fit track rollers. The studs are hardened in the area which serves as the race- way for the rolling elements. They have a thick-walled outer ring with a crowned outside surface in order to avoid edge loading.
As with other types of rolling bearings, the load carrying capacity of the stud type track rollers is given by the basic load ratings C and C0. However, when moving on a flat raceway or cam plate, the internal stresses in the track roller increase due to the elastic deformation of the outer ring. Therefore, the reduced effective load ratings Cw and C0w apply for such operating conditions. For dynamic loads, the loading ratio must not be less than Cw/P = 1 because of the reverse bending stress in the outer ring and the subsequent risk of fatigue fracture. The limiting radial load Fr perm or F0r perm must also be taken into consideration for series NUKR.

In stud type track rollers KR and KR..PP, the needle rollers are cage guided and the outer ring is laterally retained by the rib on the stud and a thrust washer which is pressed onto the stud.
They are used for heavy loads and medium speeds. However, care must be taken that the maximum shock loads occurring do not exceed the values given for C0w in the dimension tables. Relubrication intervals are long because of the spacious grease reservoirs in the bearings. The stud type track rollers KR are also available with contact seals (Suffix “PP”). They are suitable for operating temperatures between – 30 oC and + 100oC.
